Stayed at both the Ritz Carlton Abama and Bahia del Duque, and Bahia del Duque was the far superior experience. There wasn’t anything necessarily bad about the Ritz, but it felt more cooperate and suffered from the conglomerate goop that focuses more on profits than the customer experience. Bahia del Duque was the opposite; extremely kind and welcoming staff and the utmost attention to detail. Would definitely return in the future. Amazing hotel! Can see why its part of Best hotels in the world! Went for some R&R in January and it certainly delivered! Had read a few reviews about rude staff, but couldn't be further from the truth, everyone wanted to help. Rooms were lovely, food was out of the world and reasonably priced. Resturants were very good about serving wine by glass and not going for most expensive wine. everywhere was so lovely and clean. Will definately be back!
