This is without one of the best places we camped while road tripping South Island in terms of amenities + family orientation and convenience. There was large men and women’s bathrooms with plenty of shower facilities as well as unlimited time in showers which were hot and had good pressure. We stayed on a powered campervan site with this stunning view right in front of us. It’s a small quiet site in a suburb of Queenstown, we walked into the main centre, although sadly the lake walk was closed, the water taxi ride back took about 15 minutes and what a thrill ride that was, bumping over the waves. Couldn’t seem to load the pictures, but honestly, words will do just fine for this place. This is easily my No.1 paid campervan site in the entire South Island of New Zealand, and that’s coming from someone who has toured the south extensively.
