Umananda Temple is a peaceful and spiritually significant temple dedicated to Lord Shiva located on Umananda Island in the middle of the Brahmaputra River, Guwahati. To reach the temple, you need to take a ferry ride, which takes just about 10 minutes. When I visited, there were two private ferries available,Dolphin and Jolporee. The Dolphin ferry charged ₹200 per head for a round trip. Overall the experience was really good in the ferry offering a calm view of the river and in and around.
